Happy Puffin Beach Café

Welcome to Happy Puffin Beach Café! My coffee shop has now got a name 😄
The café also sells some gifts and souvenirs.
I have made the other printables myself, but the paintings on the top shelf are made from digital printies which I bought from Etsy shop Pixelmarket. I was very satisfied with the printies; they are of great quality.

Miniature coffee machine

Now I can start serving ☕ in my café, as I finished this coffee machine this weekend. I really enjoyed making it!

Decorating mini dishes

When I was going through my supplies, I was happy to find some waterslide decals which I have printed a long time ago. I used them for decorating these dishes.

Uusia miniatyyrejä * New miniatures *

Uusi vuosi alkoi askartelemalla kivan vanhan harrastuksen parissa. Tein "vanhaan aikaan" sijoittuvaan nukkekotiini pari puuastiaa.

I have made a new Christmas tree for Erlenhof from pipe cleaners. It is still unfinished, as I have been making the decorations. I hope to have it finished soon so that I can show it to you. But as I have got plenty of pipe pleaners left, I made some Christmas wreaths, too.

Miniature pastries - Pasteles en miniatura

It's been a while since I have posted! At the end of the summer I bought some new supplies, for instance Deluxe Materials Scenic Water and Scenic Colours, but I have not tried them yet, because, to tell you the truth, I forgot about them soon after I had bought them! And then, the other day as I was going through the disorganized mess of things on my craft table, I came across these two packages and I was "Oops! What do I have here!?" Well, I think that many crafters have a lot of supplies they are not aware of, don't they?

Anyway, I have been doing some miniature baking.  Here are some cakes, pastries and sandwiches. They are all made from air dry silk clay. As I have mentioned before, I love working with this soft air dry clay. It is very good for making miniature food.

Miniature mortar from stone clay - Mortero en miniatura

I have been trying different kinds of clays. This mortar and pestle are made from air dry stone clay. I like the result very much, but I found working with the clay a a bit difficult as it was so... sandy!

These rustic terracotta dishes are made from basic air dry Fimo.

And here is a tray and plates which I decorated with water slide decals  which I recently made.

I have also been making some miniatures from silk clay and foam clay. I will post pictures of them soon!

Miniature flower stand - Soporte de flores

I discovered the air-dry polymer clay quite recently and these flower pots are one of the first things which I made from it. I really like it because if you use molds, you can just leave the items to dry in the molds overnight.

I made the flowers from silk paper and the green leaves from papercord. When you open papercord, you get nice variegated paper strips.

The legs of the stand are made from ornate toothpicks.

the Doll Store in Dublin, Ireland - la Tienda de Muñecas en Dublin, Irlanda

Hubby and I spent a nice few days in Dublin, Ireland. (We had a good craic! :-D ) We visited the Doll Store, which is also home to the Dolls Hospital, located in the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre on South William Street.

It is a quaint shop with a large range of dolls and bears, too, but I concentrated on the dolls house miniatures. I bought a Dolls House Emporium stove and some Vanity Fair glassware and a toast rack. These Vanity Fair products are new to me, or at least I do not remember seeing them before.

Crocheted miniature rug - Alfombra ganchillo

I have been crocheting a lot lately (so much that my neck and shoulders hurt!). Here is an example of what I have made: a spiral rug with tassels. Making the tassels was the most fun part!

Miniature silverware - Vajillas de plata

As I have recently bought lots of new metal beads and findings, I now began to use them for making some new silverware for my dollshouse. It is quite fun to spread all kinds of bits and pieces on the table and to start to think and try which of them fit nicely together. Here is some of my new silverware on display in the Erlenhof dining room.

Crocheted tablecloth - Mantel a ganchillo

Crocheting continues! Here is my new table cloth. The flower in the middle is a traditional pattern, but the rest of the pattern I designed while crocheting.
