the Doll Store in Dublin, Ireland - la Tienda de Muñecas en Dublin, Irlanda

Hubby and I spent a nice few days in Dublin, Ireland. (We had a good craic! :-D ) We visited the Doll Store, which is also home to the Dolls Hospital, located in the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre on South William Street.

It is a quaint shop with a large range of dolls and bears, too, but I concentrated on the dolls house miniatures. I bought a Dolls House Emporium stove and some Vanity Fair glassware and a toast rack. These Vanity Fair products are new to me, or at least I do not remember seeing them before.

Rocking horse and other purchases - Caballo mecedor y otras compras

Irmeli and I were shopping in Helsinki yesterday. We made a round in the craft stores and we first went to Hobby Point, where I bought a new paper punch for making miniature flowers. Then we visited Askarelli, where we were delighted to find out that they now sell some Gepetto products. I bought myself a rocking horse kit. And then we went to Sinelli, where I found some nice sheets of double-sided cardboard.

We were also happy to visit the new Marks and Spencer store, which opened in Helsinki last month, for the first time. I often buy from M&S online, but it will be nice to be able to shop in the store whenever I am visiting Helsinki.

Water slide decals for decorating - Siirtokuvia koristeluun

I bought some floral water slide decals from Eden Miniaturas and I tried them for decorating this cupboard. I am quite pleased with the result. I have never used such decals before. I messed a bit with the tiniest pieces when they were wet - some of them just disappeared somewhere from my fingers! But luckily I bought several sheets, so I have plenty of extra pieces. I am going to use them for decorating more furniture and some plates and other dishes.

Making ribbon roses - Nauharuusujen tekoa

I am making more miniature hats and I needed more embellishments for them. I bought a miniature rose maker and some ribbon from The Miniature Haberdashery (a charming shop!). I had to try a couple of times before I figured out how to make them. Different kinds of ribbons make different kinds of roses; I like organza ribbons the most.

Dolls House Emporium miniatures - Dolls House Emporiumin minejä

I attended a seminar in Tampere this week. I had some time for shopping and I looked for the Nukkela toy shop, wich is conveniently located in the centre of the town not far from the railway station. Nukkela sells various kinds of toys and they have a nice selection of miniatures, dollhouse dolls and dollhouses. I was delighted to see that they sell products from Dolls House Emporium, whcih I have not had earlier. I bought this fireplace for myself and a vase of flowers for my friend.
